Bedroom Redo Part One

Sometimes it's amazing what just a coat of new paint can do to a room. When we moved into our house, we knew we were expecting another boy and yet the second bedroom did not seem like a little boy's room at all. A perfect excuse for a makeover!

Here is what we started work on:

 

The first option was to choose a colour- we knew we wanted a blue hue and the Dulux Colours of New Zealand range appealed. We ended up choosing Sumner, a blue colour based on a wonderful beach near us.

 

Hubby settled in to paint....

 

Looking better already! But of course the pink cutains had to go. My mum has her own curtain making business so that was the easiest part. We chose a fabric from Fabric House during their sale and my mum made the curtains for us.

Now the room looks a lot more like a little boy's room!

 

 

 

Now I need to add some fun prints to the walls and possibly some sort of wall decal, but new paint and curtains is definitely a start, and a vast improvement.
