Elebration Birthday Card

I was looking for some new challenges when I came across the new Seize The Birthday Sketch Challenge blog, and I am excited to take part in the first challenge!

This week we are to create a feminine birthday card using this sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch:

I added an embossed pink cardstock to a hot pink card, then added my papers. I stamped the elephant (isn't it cute!)and sentiment onto cardstock and cut it out using my Framelits, and inked the edges. Finally, I coloured in the cake and paper pieced and coloured the balloon, popping it up with some Foam Squares.

I used the following list of supplies to make my card:

Stampin' Up: Elebation stamp, Create a Cupcake stamp set, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Framelits Labels Collection, Markers in So Saffron, Wild Wasabi, Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue and Basic Gray.

Creative Memories: Pink Lemonade Cardstock, Raspberry Cardstock, Foam Squares, Delight 12x12 papers, 12 inch Rotary Trimmer with straight ands scoring blades.

Other: Cuttlebug
