Crayons on Cards

I was excited to see the cue word over at CASology this week-

I was watching my son colour and remembered seeing this tutorial for crayon rubbed embossing. I knew I could make it work with the cue card, and after a few experiments I ended up with this finished product. My son also helped by picking out which colour to use and then commandeering the crayons for his own use.

I am super happy with how it turned out! A negative silhouette of flowers on a dark background, and even my husband was impressed with this card- usually he just looks at them and says "that's nice" but he commented on how shiny this one was.

Supplies used:
Stampin' Up: Always Artichoke ink, Whisper White cardstock, Flower Garden Embossing Folder, Snail adhesive, Garden Green cardstock, Everyday Wishes stamp set.

On a different note, now I have had this song stuck in my head all day!

  1. You won't believe this, but I was considering doing a black on black silhouette, with an outline layer of neon green. Wow, great minds think alike! Love how it looks! Thanks so much for joining us at CASology this week!
