Spring Papercraft Sampler

It just occurred to me that I have not shared my Spring papercraft sampler with you yet.

This is one of my favourite ones yet, with the umbrellas, birds and varying flowers. I also love my sheep stamp!

The outer white cardstock is 12x12, with the patterned paper at 11x11 and the green cardstock at 10.5x10.5 inches. The inner white squares are 2.5x2.5, with the coloured squares at 2.25x 2.25 inches.

The colour scheme was blues, yellows and greens with a little bit of pink and purple thrown in. Here is a close up of each quarter.

This Spring themed 12x12 piece is the latest addition to my samplers, so I now have one for each season as well as ones for special occasions like Christmas. I am debating whether or not to do a Halloween one, what do you think?

By the way, don't forget to enter my birthday week giveaway!

    Frocktober Day 14

Two weeks in to wearing dresses, and I am starting to wonder why I don't wear them more often! They are so comfortable and I always get compliments.

Today's dress is a new one from Sammydress, and I just had to have this due to my love of all things black and white. This dress should see me through spring and summer, and it was really comfortable to wear today.

I never used to wear short dresses as I am quite self conscious of my legs, but this dress was too cute to pass up. I wore heels today to give me some added height, but I did take them off to make cookies with the boys. I also wore my favourite black and white bead earrings to keep in theme.

    Frocktober Day 13

Today was a maxi dress day- we went to the park, made a pirate treasure map and played lasers. All in a day's work as a mum of two boys!

I did put a cardigan over this maxi dress for the evening since it is cooling down, but had the cardigan off at home as it was a lovely sunny day here! The wind picked up when we took these photos, as you can probably tell by my hair. I had brushed it before these photos but had to chase my two year old down the driveway so I look a bit flustered here!

I hardly ever wear a maxi dress, but today I found out that I can still run around, swing at the playground and do all my jobs in a maxi dress so I may need to add some more to my wishlist! I am short so usually find that maxi dresses swamp me, but this one that was given to me by a friend is the perfect length.

    Letter "T" Week

I thought I would share with you some activities that I do with my children. I try to have a theme each week and base some activities, craft and learning around the theme.

We focused on the letter "T" as we wanted to incorporate trees into the week and do the Virtual Book Club For Kids activity planned.

The first thing we did was a colour matching game with a traffic light. Adam decorated a white piece of cardstock and I placed red, orange and green circles on it. Adam then matched another circle with the correct colour.

We also made tulips out of iceblock sticks and red construction paper.

Lucas had fun playing "La Tienda" for our Spanish learning. The New World Little Shop collectibles came in handy for teaching all the food item names and some of the objects used at the store such as bags, money and shopping trolleys.

Our snack was a tree made out of kiwifruit, tropical fruit salad mix and a banana.

The boys practiced their fine motor skills by picking up leftover green spaghetti from their FlumFlum trees with tongs.

We also had a fun teddy bear's picnic in the lounge, where we had a teddy and T themed snack and sat on the picnic rug with all of the teddies.

For family fun night, we set up a tent indoors and had a camping meal of burgers.

I made indoor smores by using chocolate thin biscuits and placing a marshmallow on top, then melting in the microwave for 20 seconds. Topped with another chocolate thin biscuit, this were messy but delicious!

We had a great week focused on the letter T.
