Autumn Essentials from Ezibuy

I always love getting the Ezibuy catalogues in the mail- flicking through them with a cuppa, I mark each page that has something I like and then make a wishlist.

Today I want to share some Ezibuy items that I think are essentials for the upcoming colder months- and they are all well within my clothing budget.

Ezibuy Essentials for Autumn

The zip fleece is perfect for sports days or school runs in the cooler months, and comes in a variety of colours. I chose Navy as it works with most of my wardrobe.

The grey elbow patch sweater is just a bit different, and grey is a great shade for Autumn paired with jewel colours or a mustard yellow.

Scarf prints are big right now, and this beautiful shell top would look great underneath a blazer for work, or paired with jeans, heels and a pendant necklace for a night out.

I have seen joggers everywhere, and these light grey cargo joggers would be so comfortable for my day to day lifestyle.

I am a sucker for skirts, and this tartan one is fabulous. Paired with a navy jersey and brown knee high boots, you have a perfect autumn outfit.

Lastly, I am still on the hunt for a slim fit pair of boyfriend jeans and these ones might just make the cut. A nice wash, straight leg and not too distressed.

You can check out Ezibuy's new catalogue online, and also stop by Kimba's post on Ezibuy shoes. Also, check out my Ezibuy under $50 post for more budget friendly inspiration!

NB: I was not sponsored to write this post, I just like the new collection from Ezibuy!

Sweater Weather

One of my hobbies is online clothes browsing, and I recently discovered that a website my American friends rave about ships to New Zealand! Modcloth has unique and cute clothes, and their website got me thinking about winter and autumn layering.

One of my colours is deep teal, so when I was browsing through sweaters and saw this, I immediately knew it would fit perfectly in my wardrobe. The Couldn't Task For More Sweater looks like it was made for me! (Another thing I like about Modcloth; all their clothes have such fun names!)The loose fit will lend itself well to layering, and it has a slight sheen to it. It even has a hood on the back, great for those days when I need to pop to the shops and the wind gets a bit chilly.

Modcloth Feature Sweater

Being sheer, this sweater would look great with different pops of colour showing through. However, I have gone with a monochromatic look since this colour is one of my favourites and I want the sweater to be the hero of this outfit. A simple teal camisole will provide some warmth, and this button down top won't add too much extra bulk but is detailed enough to stand on its own if you need to take off your sweater. A slightly higher collar on the top will make the layering of this outfit look polished, without being too sombre and boring.

Usually I would pair teal with grey, but when I saw the beautiful bird weekender bag I knew I had to complement it with brown booties and some light brown pants. I also added a bird inspired necklace as a longline necklace is always flattering!

Modcloth now ship to over 50 countries, and with detailed descriptions and customer reviews on the website I am highly confident about ordering my dream outfit.  I would love to know which item you would order- or if there is anything else on the Modcloth website that takes your fancy!

Winter Luxe

Staring out my window this morning, the sun is shining but there are grey clouds on the horizon. Today's plan is to go to the lake, do some bug themed arts and crafts, and make some berry sauce. I will be in and out all day so I need something that is warm yet practical.

Kimba Likes and Redcliffe Style have teamed up to do a Winter Luxe challenge- think tweed, wool, merino, beanies, scarves, leather, gloves and more. Today I got into the spirit of winter textures for Day 4 and put on my soft wool jersey, tweed skirt, fluffy scarf, and suede and fur boots.

The combination of textures is balanced by the fact that they are all shades of grey, white and black.

Boots- Robin Pierre, Skirt- UCW, Singlet- Kmart, Jersey- Valleygirl, Scarf- gift made by my Nan, Earrings- Emma Page.

The skirt and boots are so warm, so I can still venture outside and not be cold!

Here's what I have worn for the challenge so far:

Day 1:  Stripes combo with a jersey and scarf while watching some bike races.

Day 2: Merino jersey and suedette pants, perfect for a Sunday.

Day 3: Lace detail wool jersey plus an ombre scarf.

I would love to see how you are inspired by Winter Luxe! Let me know in the comments if you have been participating in this challenge too.
